We Have Moved to Galiano Island!

The Velo Town Painting family has moved to Galiano Island. We, the Koster-Davis', felt the need to move closer to family and to return to the home island of Sarah Anne.
We will continue to serve our long-standing clients in Vancouver, but we are also thrilled to begin to serve Galiano, Mayne, and Pender islands with the same level of quality and customer care.

Velo Town Painting was founded in Vancouver with the idea for a bicycle-based painting company. While we have discovered that this dream is not viable at present, we hope to find low-carbon solutions to our travel in the future. Our logo helps us remember these values and we work to pursue responsible business practices in all other areas of our work.

These are the two ways painting adds value to a structure.
Painting protects the material underneath, what we call the substrate. Proper preparation of the substrate--including scraping, sanding and priming--as well as proper product selection is essential to ensure that this protection lasts a long time. This is often the most time-consuming aspect of the job, particularly with exterior work.
Painting beautifies, or makes fresh, or makes professional. Any number of adjectives could be used to describe what painting can do to a space. Where protection is focused on the substrate, this aspect of painting is mostly focused on the space around what is being painted. Painting can transform the feeling of a space or the presentation of a building. This is most often the WOW factor in a paint job. It is achieved by clean cut lines, smooth and even application, and good colour choice.

ProjectPrep
We are passionate about preparing a stable and smooth surface for our coats of paint. This includes filling and sanding imperfections. Our Festool dust extractors and sanders cut down on the dust and make perfect surfaces possible.
Painting
This is when we get down to the satisfying part of our job. Applying paint smoothly and with precise corners and cut lines helps the details of the paint job disappear into the wow factor of a transformed space.
The Finishing Touches
Our job is not completed until your space is thoroughly cleaned up and you are satisfied with our job. We always leave a little extra paint in well-labeled cans for your use and your records.
Our Quality Guarantee
We take pride in offering a quality experience and a quality result. We are not done the job until the agreed-upon scope is completed to your satisfaction.
Our work is guaranteed for 3 years for paint failure including bubbling and peeling. If our paint fails for any reason, other than new water damage, we will come back and fix it at no cost to you.
